Dent #9

I’ll admit it, I was a bit skeptical about this issue of Dent. Cotsirilos prefaces the comic by informing us this was his first attempt at producing a 24-hour comic (meaning it was ALL done in one day) and I was worried this would be that one weak issue within his ongoing run.

Man, was I wrong.

The art is a understandably rough but his solid storytelling more than makes up for it, handling the complexities of his characters’ coming of age and budding identity with grace and realism. Everybody is awkward at sixteen, and nobody else is more capable of putting that on the page than Cotsirilos. (Alexander Zeddemore)
