From its cover to content to everything in between this issue of Conrad’s ongoing mini-comic is something you could only find in the underground press—a whole issue dedicated to cigarettes. In what could have easily been a print version of one of those “Smoking is bad for you” hipster-ladden PSAs, Conrad instead takes a much more insightful approach, a street level perspective of cigarettes and their users in the form of four panel comic strips. Each is a different aspect of how cigarettes play into the characters lives, but all remain bitingly witty and well illustrated. A genuinely original project, for a few bucks it’s a hell of a lot better for you than a pack of smokes. (Sean Logic)
